Oradell, NJ – New Jersey Foot and Ankle Centers, located at 550 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell, announces that practice podiatrist Dr. Douglas Appel has recently received his Board Certification from the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). This certification, according to the ABPM website, “does indicate that the podiatric physician has been judged by his peers to have demonstrated, via a rigorous examination process, a fund of knowledge and competence in the areas being tested.” To receive this prestigious designation, Dr. Appel had to pass a qualification exam and a certification case exam.
New Jersey Foot and Ankle Centers is proud to have podiatrists in this elite group of physicians for its patients. The practice continues to add these special designations and honors to the practice. This designation for Dr. Appel follows New Jersey Foot and Ankle Centers’ own Dr. Maryellen Brucato and Dr. Appel named among a select group of podiatrists to serve as program faculty for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons’ Pediatric Foot & Ankle Fellowship. The fellowship focuses on pediatric orthopedics, but also includes experience in pediatric podiatric surgery, as well as office billing and coding.
